Impressions of Romania

The edition of these works, and the short introduction to the most important Romanian dances and folksongs, shall make the rich folklore of this region, better known and understood by a larger audience. Here a refreshingly original folklore springs up, arising from the rhythms and melodies of the Orient, combined with the customs and traditions of the inhabitants from the regions north of the Danube.
