Back To Normandy wurde zum Anlass von D-Day (6.Juni 1944) geschrieben, der Tag, an dem die Befreiung von Westeuropa an den Stränden der Normandie begann. Sehr außerordentlich an diesem Werk ist, dass die Musik synchron ausgeführt werden kann, mit einem Film der hierfür ins Besondere gemacht wurde. Back To Normandy ist besonders für Konzertbands geeignet, die dem Publikum etwas Spezielles bieten wollen und außerdem den Befreiern musikalisch Ehre erweisen wollen.
